Organizational Structure
Thrikkur Grama Panchayat is a local self-government body functioning under the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 and its related rules. The activities of the panchayat are coordinated and implemented by a team of people's representatives and administrative officers.
Elected Council
The elected members from the 19 wards of the gram panchayat form the administrative council. The head of the administrative council is the panchayat president and the co-head is the vice president. Decisions regarding development projects, annual plans, budgets and public welfare activities are taken in the panchayat meetings.
Standing Committees
Various standing committees function to implement the activities of the panchayat efficiently. The following standing committees are usually in place:

Gram Sabha
Each ward of the Gram Panchayat functions as a Gram Sabha. The Gram Sabha is the basic unit of local self-government. The Gram Sabhas play a crucial role in formulating development plans and bringing the needs of the people to the notice of the governing body.
